We Mourn the Loss of Alison Bliss

Dearest Friends of the Kelley Foundation,

I'm beyond sad to let you all know that on Saturday, April 27, Shel's daughter, Ali Kelley Bliss, passed away with Shel and her husband Harrison at her side. This was completely unexpected and quite sudden. Shel, Ali's husband, Ali's family and her many friends are shocked and heartbroken.

As you can understand, the annual Kelley Foundation picnic on May 19th has been cancelled.

We want to let you know so that you can make arrangements for the funeral, which has been set for Saturday, May 18th at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Silver Spring. The family will hold a gathering following the funeral as a Celebration of Ali's life. This will take place at the Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville. The details are below.

I'm certain that you all share our grief for this great loss, as well as the concern that Jan and I have for the Bliss and Kelley families, especially for Ali's husband and their young daughter Meara.

Words fall short here... but the Kelley Foundation Board and I, together with our families, hope that you can join us as we come together -- in deep sadness and in equally deep love and affection -- to give the Bliss and Kelley families the support they need after this most unimaginable loss.

If you are able to attend any of the events, please feel free to bring a photo or two of Ali with you to share with the family, especially if you are in the photo with her.
